General Counselling
Counselling therapies are typically considered as a short term treatment, providing clients with a space to explore, understand and process difficult circumstances.
By providing the therapeutic "scaffolding" and specialised treatments, counsellors are able to walk alongside clients as together they discover ‘practical life answers’ by clarifying issues, exploring alternatives, developing strategies, and enhancing self-awareness.
A referral from a GP is not required to book a consultation with a counsellor.

Erin Prater Counselling
Service Overview
As a person with lived experience of the effects of psychological abuse on mental health, Erin brings this understanding to her Counselling, NDIS high intensity psychosocial support work and mental health Advocacy roles.

Support is offered to clients seeking to identify and overcome post-traumatic triggers, repair deep attachment wounds, help with harmful coping strategies such as substance abuse and self-harming practices, and address overwhelming emotions like shame, anger, anxiety, fear, and depression.
Erin's confidential, non-judgemental, person centred, General Counselling Service also benefits from her trauma informed practice as she provides support across the domains of daily living.
High intensity psychosocial support worker services are also offered to NDIS Participants.
Services are delivered to private and NDIS clients only.
